No pets sorry, guide dogs are welcome.

Our cancellation policy

All cancellations and amendments must be received in writing to reservations@westplaza.co.nz.
If the booking is cancelled by 4pm 1 day prior to the arrival at the hotel, no charge will incur.

If the booking is NOT cancelled 1 day prior to the commencement of stay the hotel does reserve the right to charge for the equivalent of one night's accommodation to the credit card used to make the booking.

If the booking is received by the hotel from a third party booking source you will need to contact the company who you have made the booking with to discuss the terms of your booking, cancellation and or refund.

The above cancellation policy does not apply for group reservations.

Payment of accounts

A valid credit card is required to guarantee your booking. No payment is charged to the card unless requested by you at the time of booking. The same card must be presented on arrival to the Hotel with valid photo identification corresponding to the booking name. All accommodation costs will be charged upon check-in at the hotel, any additional hotel services can then be charged to the room and settled on departure. 

Cash payments include Eftpos & Debit cards. For cash payments, we require accommodation to be paid in full, at the time of arrival, plus a bond of up to $200 to cover any miscellaneous charges. The bond will be refunded on departure if hotel services were not used or damaged. Our terms and conditions may differ over Premier Events or if a discounted room is booked. Please check the terms when making a booking.

Please note that for all credit card transactions, a surcharge of 2% applies. Guests may choose to change their method of payment on check-out to cash or Eftpos as these methods do not attract this fee.
 

Car parking

Car parking is $25 per night and is subject to availability at the time of arrival.  It cannot be reserved in advance. 

If we do not have any parks available at the hotel we can book parking at Lombard Parking Building (at the back entrance).  We will do this at reception for $25 on arrival, 1.8-metre height restriction applies. 

Please note – Parking is located at the Bond Street entrance of the hotel (from Victoria Street turn left on to Bond Street). Pull into the tiled area of the hotel and advise reception staff that parking is required.

Smoking & Electronic Cigarettes

The West Plaza Hotel is a completely non-smoking or E-cigarette use hotel. If required there is a designated outdoor smoking area.

Guest Health & Safety Policy

We expect contractors, visitors, and guests to: 

  • Comply with safety instructions while in our workplace. 
  • Ensure they do not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of any person, including themselves, while on the property. 
  • When applicable, please report any concerns regarding health and safety to the Manager on Duty. 
  • Appropriate attire must be worn in public areas of the hotel, this includes shoes in the Restaurant and Bar areas. 
  • Due to Health & Safety, we reserve the right to deny access to our Restaurant and Bar if guests are not wearing shoes, and/or inappropriate attire (such as if they were shirtless).  

Other

Our accommodation facilities do not permit the use of cooking appliances, candles, incense, or anything similar at any time in the guest rooms.
